Cancellation Policy
Event Terms and Conditions 1. Event Terms 1.1 Bookings apply only to the confirmed date, time, and venue. Any changes may result in extra charges. 1.2 Good Time DJs may reassign the DJ if required, ensuring any replacement meets professional standards. 1.3 A 20% deposit secures the booking and is non-refundable if the client cancels or requests an unavailable new date. A full refund will be given only if Good Time DJs cancel due to circumstances beyond our control. 1.4 Full payment must be made prior to the event. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the final balance is due seven (7) days before. 1.5 Any extra services, equipment, or requests not in the confirmed booking may incur additional costs. 2. Duties of Good Time DJs 2.1 All equipment included in the quote will be provided in working order and set up professionally. 2.2 DJs will not arrive late, finish early, or extend without prior agreement. Extensions may attract further charges. 2.3 DJs will maintain professionalism and not consume substances affecting performance. Alcohol may be accepted if offered by the client. 2.4 Only services and equipment included in the confirmed booking will be supplied unless otherwise arranged. 2.5 All duties will be performed safely with regard for staff, client, and guest wellbeing. 2.6 Equipment is high-quality and maintained, though not test-tagged (not a legal requirement). Damaged gear will not be used. 2.7 Good Time DJs are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as technical issues, weather, or emergencies. 3. Duties of the Client 3.1 Clients must allow at least one hour for setup. Early access may attract a call-out fee. 3.2 If a venue is unsafe, Good Time DJs may withdraw, issuing a 50% refund. 3.3 Music requests must be provided at least one week in advance. Requests on the day will be at the DJ’s discretion. 3.4 Clients are liable for damage to equipment caused by attendees and must cover repair or replacement costs. 3.5 Adequate access, parking, performance space, and power must be provided. 3.6 Travel fees may apply depending on event location. 3.7 For full-day events such as weddings, the DJ must be provided with a meal. 3.8 Clients are responsible for venue permissions and performance licenses. 3.9 A safe, weather-protected, and ventilated performance space must be provided. 3.10 Where necessary, clients must ensure appropriate crowd control to protect the DJ and equipment.
